A car that drives straight, stops flat and rides quiet
Your steering and suspension keep the tires planted on the road. When parts wear, the car does not just ride rougher — it takes longer to stop, eats tires and can wander on the 101 at freeway speed. Potholes, railroad crossings, speed bumps and rough farm roads around the Oxnard Plain all take a toll, and work trucks that run loaded every day wear parts even faster. Suspension wear also happens gradually, so most drivers do not notice until the tires or the steering tell them.
Every job starts with a real inspection. We lift the vehicle, check for play in ball joints, tie rods and wheel bearings, look for leaking shocks and struts, cracked bushings and broken springs, inspect the power steering system, read tire wear patterns and road-test it. You get a clear list of what is worn now, what is close and what can wait — no pressure. Catching a worn part early usually means a smaller repair bill and longer-lasting tires.
We replace parts in matched pairs where it matters and use quality components specified for your vehicle — including the multi-link suspensions on Mercedes-Benz and BMW. Suspension and brakes wear together, so we can check your brakes in the same visit, and fleet trucks get heavy-duty springs, shocks and steering parts through our fleet service.

How much does suspension repair cost in Oxnard?
It depends on the vehicle and the parts involved. A pair of sway bar links costs far less than struts, control arms and bushings on both sides, and air suspension on European cars costs more. We inspect first and give you a written estimate before any work begins. Call (805) 485-1575 for a quote.
What causes a clunking noise over bumps?
The most common causes are worn sway bar links, ball joints, control arm bushings, strut mounts or tie rod ends. Loose parts let metal knock against metal as the suspension moves. A lift inspection pinpoints which part has play, so you only replace what is actually worn.
Why does my car pull to one side?
Pulling can come from alignment that is out of spec, uneven tire pressure or wear, a worn suspension or steering part, or a sticking brake caliper. We check tires, inspect the front end and brakes and road-test the car to find the cause, then repair it and align the car on our own alignment equipment so it tracks straight.
How often should shocks and struts be replaced?
There is no single mileage for every vehicle, but many start losing control somewhere past 50,000 miles, sooner on trucks that carry weight. Leaks, bouncing, nose-diving under braking and cupped tires are the signs. We inspect them at every service and tell you when they are actually due.
Do I need an alignment after suspension work?
Usually, yes. Replacing tie rods, control arms, struts or ball joints changes the steering geometry, so the alignment should be checked and set afterward to protect your tires. We do alignments in-house, so it's done in the same visit — and we include it in the estimate up front.
Do you repair suspension on trucks, fleets and RVs?
Yes. We service springs, shocks and steering components on pickups, work trucks, box trucks and motorhome chassis — vehicles that run loaded every day. Fleet accounts get a reduced labor rate and RV owners get discounted labor rates. Ask for Joel about fleet pricing.
