European cars need a European specialist
European engines and drivetrains often run higher compression, higher temperatures and tighter specifications than many domestic vehicles. That's why they feel the way they do — and why the wrong oil, the wrong coolant or a skipped service interval can turn a small issue into a big bill. The sign on our building on Ventura Blvd says it plainly: "Independent repair of Mercedes · Volvo · BMW." We've been doing exactly that in Oxnard since 1972.
Our technicians use factory-level diagnostic tools that talk to every module, follow manufacturer procedures, and install OEM or OE-grade parts with the correct European-spec oil, coolant and brake fluid. If you're not sure when your car was last serviced, we'll set a maintenance baseline from the factory schedule and how you actually drive — short trips around Oxnard, the 101 commute, or coastal salt air near Channel Islands. Every visit includes a written estimate before work begins, and we'll show you the worn parts.
Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Porsche are our core specialties, with dedicated pages for Mercedes-Benz repair and BMW repair. We also service Volvo and Mini, Sprinter and Metris vans, and other European makes such as Audi and Volkswagen for routine maintenance and repairs. And because we work on all makes, the rest of the family's cars and trucks can come here too.

Is an independent European repair shop as good as the dealer?
For maintenance and most repairs, a specialist independent shop with the right tools and parts can do the same work, usually with more personal service and without dealership pricing. We use factory-level diagnostics, follow manufacturer procedures and install OEM or OE-grade parts. Warranty and recall repairs still go to the dealer, and we'll tell you when something falls into that category.
Why do European cars cost more to maintain?
European cars often use higher compression, higher operating temperatures and tighter tolerances, so they need specific oils, coolants and brake fluids, and some parts cost more. The bigger cost usually comes from skipped service: broken-down oil, dried-out gaskets and tired cooling parts lead to leaks and overheating. Staying on schedule is the cheapest way to own one.
What European makes do you service in Oxnard?
Our core specialties are Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Porsche. We also service Volvo and Mini, Mercedes Sprinter and Metris vans, and handle routine maintenance and repairs on other European makes such as Audi and Volkswagen. We work on all domestic and Asian makes too, so one shop can take care of the whole household.
What happens if I delay service on my European car?
Oil loses its protective properties, sludge and deposits build up, gaskets and seals dry out and leak, and cooling parts wear until the engine overheats. Brakes wear further, fuel economy drops and electronics and emissions systems can start setting faults. Catching these early on a scheduled visit costs far less than repairing the damage later.
Do you use OEM parts on European cars?
We use OEM or OE-grade parts — the same parts or parts from the same suppliers that build them for the factory — and the oil, coolant and brake fluid specifications your manufacturer requires. That keeps your car performing as designed and supports your maintenance records and resale value.
Can you tell me what service my European car is due for?
Yes. If you're not sure when your car was last serviced, bring it in and we'll read the service indicators, check fluid condition and wear items, and review the factory schedule against your mileage and driving habits. You'll get a clear plan of what's due now and what's coming up. Call (805) 485-1575.
