BMW expertise without the dealership markup

BMWs are built to be driven hard, and they reward owners who stay ahead of maintenance. Let things slide and the same few problems show up again and again: oil seeping from the valve cover or oil filter housing gasket, a plastic coolant part that cracks, a water pump that quits on a hot afternoon on the Oxnard Plain. We have been fixing these cars in Oxnard since 1972, and the sign out front lists BMW by name.

Every repair starts with a proper diagnosis. Our technicians use European-specific scan tools to read the engine, transmission, DSC and body modules, follow BMW factory procedures and register new batteries and reset service lights correctly. We install OEM or OE-grade parts and BMW-approved fluids, and you get a clear estimate before we turn a wrench. Itemized records from every visit keep your service history complete for warranty and resale.

We service the full lineup — 3, 4, 5 and 7 Series sedans and coupes, the X1 through X7, M3, M4 and M5, plus BMW hybrids and diesels. Most visits start with an oil change and inspection; if a warning light brought you in, our diagnostics team will pin it down.

FAQ

Questions, answered.

Still not sure? Call (805) 485-1575 — we'll give you a straight answer.

Why does my BMW leak oil?

The most common BMW oil leaks come from the valve cover gasket and the oil filter housing gasket, which harden with heat and age. Oil pan gaskets and turbo oil lines are other usual suspects. A filter housing leak can drip onto the serpentine belt, so it should not be ignored. We clean, inspect and pinpoint the leak, then quote the repair.

How often should I change the oil in my BMW?

BMW's Condition Based Service often stretches oil changes to 10,000 miles or more, but many owners in stop-and-go and hot-weather driving choose to change it closer to every 5,000 to 7,500 miles to protect timing chains and turbos. We use full synthetic oil that meets BMW Longlife specs and can help you choose an interval that fits how you drive.

Why does my BMW keep overheating?

Most BMW overheating comes from a failed electric or mechanical water pump, a stuck thermostat, a cracked expansion tank or radiator neck, or a leaking hose. Many of these parts are plastic and age with heat cycles. Stop driving if the temperature warning appears, because overheating can warp the cylinder head. We pressure-test the system to find the cause.

Can you register a new battery on my BMW?

Yes. Most modern BMWs need a new battery registered to the car so the charging system adjusts to it. Skipping that step can shorten battery life and cause electrical faults. We install the correct battery type and register it with our diagnostic tools as part of the job.

Do you work on BMW M cars and diesels?

Yes. We service M3, M4, M5 and other M models, including performance inspections, and we also work on BMW diesel and hybrid models. These vehicles need the right fluids, parts and procedures, which is what we follow on every job. Call (805) 485-1575 to book.
