Dieter's Motors has been fixing cars on Ventura Blvd in Oxnard since 1972. We are still family-owned, and we still work the same way: find the real problem, explain it in plain English, and give you an honest estimate before any work starts. Free estimates are available on most cars, and repairs are backed by warranty.
Our ASE-certified technicians use factory-level diagnostic scan tools on every make — daily commuters, pickups, SUVs, diesel work trucks, Sprinter and Metris vans, fleets and motorhome chassis. European vehicles are a specialty: the sign out front reads "Independent repair of Mercedes · Volvo · BMW," and we work on Porsche and Mini too. We are also a smog and repair station and an official CARB Clean Truck Check test station, so testing and repairs happen under one roof. Whatever you drive, the same team handles it from first look to final road test.

What kinds of vehicles does Dieter's Motors work on?
All makes and models: cars, SUVs, pickups, diesel trucks, Sprinter and Metris vans, fleet vehicles and RVs. We are European specialists for Mercedes-Benz, BMW and Porsche and also work on Volvo and Mini. For RVs we handle the mechanical and chassis side, not coach interiors, plumbing, roofs or body work.
Do you give free estimates?
Yes, free estimates are available on most cars. For problems that need testing first, such as an intermittent electrical fault or a check-engine light, we diagnose the cause and give you a written estimate before any repair begins, so there are no surprises on the bill.
How much is a smog check in Oxnard?
A smog check at Dieter's Motors is $59 for cars, vans and light trucks. We are a smog and repair station, so if a vehicle fails we can diagnose and repair it here. Medium- and heavy-duty diesel trucks over 14,000 lbs GVWR need a CARB Clean Truck Check instead, which we test for $99.

Do you offer loaner cars or a shuttle?
Yes. We offer loaner vehicles and a local shuttle so you are not stranded while your car is in the shop. Let us know when you book that you will need a ride or a loaner and we will plan for it.
